Privacy Policy
Payney is AI-curated finance and markets news, reviewed by human editors at The Payney Desk. We try to collect as little about you as possible, and this page explains exactly what we keep, why, and how to get it removed. Effective 2026.
What we collect
Almost nothing. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not run advertising trackers. The only personal data we store is the email address you give us if you subscribe to our newsletter.
Analytics
We measure traffic with Plausible, a privacy-first analytics tool. Plausible uses no cookies, sets nothing on your device, and does not collect personal data. The numbers we see are aggregate only: page views, referring sites, country at the country level, and broad device type. We cannot identify individual readers, and neither can we link a visit back to you.
The newsletter
If you subscribe, we store the email address you submit so we can send you the Payney brief. Delivery is handled by Resend, which processes your address solely to send those emails. We do not use it for anything else, and we will never sell, rent, or trade your data to anyone.
Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@payney.com to unsubscribe or to ask us to permanently delete your address from our records.
Cookies
Payney sets no tracking or advertising cookies. You should not need a cookie banner to read us, and we have built the site so you do not get one.
Third parties
A few trusted services help us run the site:
- Plausible — privacy-first, cookieless traffic analytics.
- Resend — newsletter delivery.
- Unsplash — some article images are served from Unsplash.
We do not share your personal data with these services beyond what each one needs to do its job, and none of them receive data they do not require.
Your choices
You can read Payney without giving us anything. If you have subscribed, you can leave at any time and ask us to erase your email. To request deletion, ask a question, or report a concern about how we handle data, write to hello@payney.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Payney has been publishing since 2024, and our approach has stayed the same: collect little, explain it plainly, sell nothing.
