Sourcing and attribution

We build on the reporting of established outlets, including Reuters, CNBC, CoinDesk, TechCrunch, Yahoo Finance, and Investopedia, alongside primary documents such as company filings, central bank releases, and regulator statements. When a fact, figure, or quote originates elsewhere, we link to the primary source so you can read it for yourself. We summarize and contextualize reporting; we do not republish it wholesale.

Accuracy and verification

Our current generator checks source URLs and article structure before publication. These checks do not guarantee factual accuracy. The Payney Desk identifies editorial responsibility, not a completed human review of every claim. We distinguish clearly between confirmed facts, analyst commentary, and projections. Prices, yields, and market data move constantly, so we date our reporting and treat figures as accurate at the time of writing.

How we select stories

We prioritize developments that materially affect investors, savers, and the wider economy: rate decisions, earnings, regulation, major crypto moves, and shifts in fintech and banking. We aim to explain why something matters rather than chase volume. We avoid hype. Phrases promising guaranteed returns or describing any asset as a path to riches have no place in our coverage.

Corrections

Editorial independence
